While never truly content with third place in a Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton nonetheless declared himself "satisfied" with his podium finish in Malaysia in the circumstances

Johnycque, “any grid position is good and the important thing is now he is ahead of Button” thanks for confirming what I said namely that he wasn't telling the truth about the 3rd position, the most important thing is /was finishing in front of his team mate (that's as it should be) anything else is secondary, but why not say it like it is?

I think your looking for Vettel. Not Lewis for the special effects.

Red Bull's dominance since late 2009 has finally ended, and that fact was fully demonstrated at Sepang when German Vettel could not hang on even to fourth place.

He collided with backmarker Narain Karthikeyan and lost his temper with the Indian, showing him a middle-finger salute, twice!

Vettel, 24, then described Karthikeyan as a “gherkin” on German television.

And his description got worse in front of the British audience, when he branded his Madras-born rival an “idiot”.

Ah Spongy wades into battle with mouth open and eyes closed, again.

Lulu referred to back markers as "monkeys" what's the worse insult Spongy calling a man a monkey or a cucumber?

As for the "idiot" comment, Lulu referred to Massa and Maldnado as "frickin ridiculous and stupid" so again which is worse? Of course the big difference is that Lulu caused both incidents by being frickin ridiculous and stupid!

Personally, I think it was a mistake on Vettel's part to say these things, no good would come of it and he left himself open to criticism, he'll learn.

What do you think of Alonso's performance in that "junk" Ferrari Spongy? marvelous wasn't it? I haven't had the chance to hear your valued opinion, you've obviously been conveniently busy since the race. (lol)

ty. i find it odd that some are criticising ettel for his remarks. he is by no means the first driver to make such or worse remarks. in fact, he was smiling as he said "some drivers were driving like gherkins". i took that as a light hearted dig at a driver who wasnt watching where he was going. how many times have you been "undertaken" by a driver on the motorway, and thought, "your man is a bit of a wally". not really an insult.
but it may mean something else in germany?

and as for "idiots". schumi has said that, hill has said that , dc has said that, herbert has said that etc etc. and looking at these threads, many many posters have also said that. so whats new??

Taipan, a monkey has a brain, a cucumber,, well make your own mind up :)

Clearly monaco 2011 incident is 100% Massa trying to block Hamiltons move down the inside.
Try tubing - F1 MONACO 11: CRASH ( MASSA - HAMILTON )
Absolutly Massa at fault there is no argument about it whatsoever.

Try tubing (Formula 1 2011 - GP Monaco - Start)into the tube to see what massa should have done :P

Correct me if I'm wrong. I recall during Sundays race I think it was Johnathan neale of mclaren being asked whether there was a reason for Hamiltons lack of ability to keep pace with alonso and perez to which he replied something like I don't wish to discuss this on air... possibly Hamilton was nursing an issue and choosing the sensible option of getting the car home as high as he could... in that case the podium would have been a fortunate result and the best he could have hoped for...

"Even after such a bad race - and that's hopefully my bad race for the year gone - I'm still only 10 points off the lead, and that's Alonso in a Ferrari. That's not the worry," Button said. "I'm also only five points behind Lewis, who is the guy in a competitive car, so (it's) still not bad considering the day I had.
"Lewis is definitely my main rival, and you have to say the Red Bulls as well.
