While never truly content with third place in a Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton nonetheless declared himself "satisfied" with his podium finish in Malaysia in the circumstances

Yangpunk, the tape wasn't there to hold the car together! In wet weather conditions they use tape to block off part of the brake duct so that the brakes can get up to temperature, not only are the conditions cooler conditions but the brakes aren't being used as hard in the rain. Once it dried up it was removed. It's quick, easy and it works (usually)

HRC, Agreed, no need to edit that post, nothing wrong with a bit of humour.

HRC, You'll get used to what you can get away with so don't jump ship just yet.

Maybe your post was deleted because blaming Massa for Monaco is bonkers in the extreme! Ha! :p

Ahh the disagrees are arriving for my tape answer, obviously it IS there to hold the car together, silly me.

HRC...you obviously missed my sarcasm! Didn't you see they took longer than necessary to rip it off? If LH was not overtaken in the pits It would be much easier for him to maintain his lead in P1. Reading the Pit communications at the McLaren website, we can see that LH agreed to the intermediate tires first and yet they call JB in first for the tire change.

In this race McLaren lost the win by not displaying initiative but rather adopt a copycat strategy.

Not your day HRC, now your getting the blame for my comments! lol

Yangpunk, Yes the tape was all an elaborate ploy to scupper Lulu. It was actually extra super sticky tape developed by NASA to be impossible to remove and Whitmarsh gave the guy removing it chainsaw gloves just to make the task even more difficult.....

he is not telling the truth, the 3rd position doesn't really matter, what matters to him is finishing in front of his team mate.

Sunny sure it matters to every driver to finish in front of their team mates but why would Lewis lie when he is 5 points ahead of Button and 10 of Vettel two drivers who did not score any points in Malaysia.

Arciud, as if he doesn't know how to lie!
Ronnie conveniently left out a lot of things that happened at Silverstone, such as the bad treatment Senna use to get, the clapping and joy when Schumacher broke his leg.

Sunny, a little objectivity? Like I said he's 5 ahead of Button and 10 of Vettel since BOTH did not score so if Lewis feels fortunate to have finish 3rd giving him valuable points then he is being truthful. Peace out.

If button wasn't the main factor on his mind I am one hundred percent convinced that we would have seen the same gloom for starting on pole and finishing third, which is the exact same thing as Australia but with the difference that this time he finished ahead of Button.
