Is this a joke? The ones picking these cars must be 12 years old and have never seen F1 back in the 70th and early 80's and the 60'th when teams where working on different solutions on downforce. This cars looks great compare to many cars. This is list is just a big joke made by some that just have experiense F1

There are many much uglier cars that could be on here, the Amon AF101 had about three or four different front wings, all hideous to varying degrees. The Ensign N179 with the stepped nose was pretty bad too.

Steve, the trouble is that some people who are in a position to influence public opinion (mostly in the media) are self appointed experts some of which will swear that they have been following motor racing from well before the wheel was invented.

A bit unfair on the FW26 I think, for the following reason. Halfway through the season, Williamw took off the so-called "walrus nose" and then the FW26 looked exactly the same as all the other high-nose designs competing against it. And that in itself was an important point at the time - because of the tight regulations, nearly all the entries have looked identikit from season to season for about the last thirteen or fourteen years (this year is no exception, save thankfully for the low-chassis, non-platypus nose McLaren), and when Williams reverted the FW26 to type, I actually remember thinking it was a pity, because at least the walrus nose had been a brave and rare attempt to do something different within the tight regs, meaning that if you stripped off the paintwork you'd actually still know what car it was.
