It appears that some drivers need to have a less hostile ( Italian press , internal pressure ) to thrive in the car . Unfortunately Massa seems to be one of those drivers , i like him and he's fast but....

Ferrari needs to address the issues with it's car more than it's driver. If folks think that Massa should be driving for a mid-pack team then throwing him out of Ferrari would only take him further from this. The blame Massa group out are really just unwilling to accept that the car stinks. Massa is driving the car where it is really performing. Even with an amazing driver like Alonso this is obvious. Alonso had new tires and was still being caught by Perez who was on old tires in the closing part of Malaysa. Ferrari's car just doesn't work this year. The prancing horse might be just an old grey mare.

No point in punting Mr Massa, who would want to step into that dog of a prancing horse? If they can't sort the car for their long time driver who are they going to sort it for? It would ruin Perez' career if he couldn't do better than Massa.

Massa has been up with Alonso on the odd lap but just is not consistent any more. He has proven to be a team player many times over the years but his race pace and consistancy are leaving him so far behind Alonso that even that is not an asset . Ferrari need a driver that can at least be in shooting distance.Massa ia not that driver any more and should go .Regardless of the fact that the Ferrari is once again not on the pace.
