If the Bahrain race goes ahead, we'll be there with no concerns about safety, insist Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel.

Shame on you, Michael Schumacher. You have no need to kiss the backside of anyone. If this is your genuine personal opinion, then I'm sure a lot of people are very disappointed.

Ive always supported schumi and he might be right about him being safe and protected and probably all the other drivers and senior team personnel will be ok but what about the truckies mechanics etc etc will they have the same level of security ?.. I seriously doubt it and if the protesters want to do something you can bet they will have success anyone else remember the disgruntled Mercedes mechanic at hockenheim in 2000 ? or the priest at silverstone in 2004 i think ?.. And both of those circuits have good security etc etc it only takes one protester to have success and i shudder to think what will be the outcome. If F1 goes to Bahrain they all need their heads examining

The nutters who blow people up are from the same sect as the ruling family, so there shouldn't be a problem. The protestors are peaceful and the police only kill protestors and civilians in their homes. Therefore, peoople visiting the F1 should have nothing to worry about. Quite a few people have died recently from the effects of the massive bombardment of peoples homes with tear gas. There is a village near the circuit so you might experience some of the effects.

Bring a gas mask and don't go anywhere near the homes of 70% of the population (the protestors) and you should be fine.
