Not worked out to bad for Lewis, Alonso and Vettel behind him and Button just two places in front. Should be a real humdinger of a start.

Nico's lap just had that wow factor if Hammi had another two attempts he still would not of got pole, but it seems that the long straight is helping the Mercs but still a fantastic lap from Nico.

@ronsgoldenboy, i have to agree with you nico and the merc were untouchable today, hamilton, teflon, beiber or schumi could have had another 15 minutes and probably not beat that time.

very close to the perfect lap i think.

really pleased for merc, they deserve their success. they've been working very hard to close the gap and looks like the efforts are bearing fruit.

Sometimes I wonder what teams are trying to do but since we don't have all the info...Grosjean's lap in Q2 was enough to put him in top 6 on the grid, why does Lotus send him on such a high pressure last gasp lap (and he used his set of softs)?

It will interesting to see how the Saubers and Kimi's Lotus fare in the race starting that high and with a notably good race pace.
