F1 » 'Frustrating' for Webber as he outdoes Vettel again

Mark Webber: I didn't get the Q3 lap together as I would have liked. It's frustrating. We know we have a good race car, so it will be interesting to see how it unfolds tomorrow.

While I don't expect the Red Bull to win in China (or perhaps even to make the podium), I for one hope that Webber does well and dominates Vettel this season. Vettel has shown that he can win championships in dominant cars, but Webber seems to handle lesser performing cars much better. I clearly remember him putting an under-performing Jag far higher up the grid than it deserved, even up to P2 in Hungary (or was that P3?).

Valentino Rossi has show us how important the match between driving/riding style and vehicle is. Vettel last year could easily pull out a extra fast lap at the very end of qualifying such was his confidence and feel for the car. Now when he pushes he looses time.
Mark in contrast never felt comfortable last year with the tires and will show his quality this season .
People were talking up Button before the season ahead of Hamilton , yet never criticise him for qualifying below Hamilton as they did Webber v Vettel last year.

Just get a good start, that's all Webber needs to do...he's very good on this circuit, so I think a podium is likely if he just doesn't drop positions at the start, and get caught in a first corner pileup or something.
