F1 » Tyre gamble backfires on Raikkonen

Kimi Raikkonen: We tried to run two stops as it looked to be the fastest strategy and up until the last ten laps it was looking good, but we ran out of tyre performance at the end.

What a way to lose 2nd position,10 places over a lap after a super drive by Kimi, nobody could've passed him while his tyres were working well.....painful to watch, but thumbs up for all the drivers for delivering truly world class driving.....the best race to date.....

If they were on a planned 2 stop, then why in the world would you put him on the soft tires in the last pit stop that he had to run really long?

or did I see that wrong?

John, Thanks. I do not have one of the new tvs & it is very hard for me to read the names & numbers & I cannot very clearly see the screen on Speed. I could not tell if the tires were yellow or white. They said that there was a lot of smog in Shanghai. I can read the words on the Fox News Channel clearly & CNN but not Speed. :) Mb

sounds like a good excuse to upgrade tv lol

but really.. seems like kimi was one tire choice away from a good result. damn shame, even though he seemed to go backwards on every pit stop.

As said, please sort this out by spa
