Damon Hill has backed the FIA's decision to confirm the Bahrain Grand Prix, but insists that the whole situation could have been better handled by the governing body.

As much as Hill changes his opinion he sure isn't affraid to talk about things wrong with a sport like F1. I agree about Todt being asleep at the wheel. But then again Todt is just another of Bernie's minions.

Dreary Damon says "I supported Todt's decision to go because I felt we should all go with our heads held up, knowing why we are there and what is expected of us."

Very good.

but then it says "The 1996 world champion, who does not appear to be in Bahrain in his role as part of the Sky Sports F1 commentary team..."

Well done Damon. I dare say a vital, unmissable WI jam tasting contest prevented him going (with his head held high)

Well, I saw and heard Damon live on TV in Bahrain in the pit lane.

He discussed why he has changed his opinion about F1, a thoughtful honest opinion, in Bahrain and he wasn't even sitting in an armchair at home!

When we can't discuss, have opinions, be prepared to be enlightened and change our views when neccasary, then this has become a very sorry world.
