F1 » POLL: Should F1 be back in Bahrain in 2013?

Did F1 just get lucky this time around, or is the situation in Bahrain not as bad as has been reported? Should the sport even contemplate a return next season?

@walrus909

You do realise that there wasn't going to be a Belgian GP because no one could be found to promote it, so Bernie is promoting it, and therefore keeping it on the calendar.

Caroline, maybe I should research more, but this is from another Crash story:

" insisted Ecclestone, who also told France's L'Equipe newspaper at the weekend that a deal had been verbally agreed to restore the French Grand Prix to the F1 calendar from 2013, but at the cost of alternating it on an annual basis with the Belgium Grand Prix.
Even alternating is disapointing to me.

And it wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that Bernie (or at least his family) has a financial interest in the Paul Ricard circuit would it?

It is too early for anyone to say if F1 WILL be back in Bahrain in 2013. In order to return the promoter must have the financial ability pay F1 on time and ensure the public and track safety of the teams and fans. But this is true of ALL F1 events including the USA, Canada and UK. Mr. Ecclestone is merely cheerleading at this point which is his job.
