As long Webber stays at Red Bull he is consigned to being number 2 driver, for no other reason than lack of ability.

It would be the same at any other top team though...not that they would be looking for a driver like mark webber.

Red bull should look at getting Hamilton/Alonso/

Redbull have both the Drivers and Constructors titles with Vettel and Webber. They need not disturb the balance in the team to lose all the titles in near future. They only need a no.2 driver to replace Webber not an equal no.1 shortly to lose World champion Vettel. And Vettel is an additional bonus to Redbull as he is talented and is from their jr. program. Seb Vettel's media management skills are a further additional bonus.

Do u really believe that MW would officially sign as a no.2 driver at Ferrari although he doesn't like to be no.2 at RBR?

I can see I am coping some flak over this matter. Mark did sign a letter of intent to drive with
Ferrari and it was very real but thats all it was "A Letter of Intent". I also stated the Letter of Intent had no concrete basis.
Mark was approached by Ferrari and to cover his future career subsequently accepted the offer on the understanding RBR was his 1st choice which Ferrari understood. This was done sometime ago.
Once is was leaked to the press they jumped right on it and that leak did not come from Mark.
Once the matter was leaked RBR recognised they required to shore up matters with Mark which happened very quickly.
Whilst the press are reporting Mark will sign with RBR their is still no surety but at least in his own mind he knows interest exists and has alerted RBR and Marko in particular through his intent with Ferrari that he is a wanted product.
And thats where the story ends at this point of time.
Mark simply has options which have now been placed in the spotlight. (Cont)

Marks desire is to continue his association with RBR however Ferrari is enticing on a couple of platforms and money is not the criteria.

The decision now lays with Mark and the ultimate outcome will not be made public until well into the season.

And yes during the past couple of years Mark has been linked to Ferrari which have been a falacy however this time it has been considered by Mark with discussions and Ink being in play.

For those that care to rubbish me that is fine. Everyone has a view and a opinion however I can only relay what is deemed appropriate without invading confidential areas and their are plenty.

whats happened to our Oceania correspondent who usually gives reliable info when it comes to the Red Bulls no 2 driver. Is this the type of guesswork common from our cousins south of the equator, we surely don't need another baby Azaria type reporting.

Wasn't it only a few days ago that you declined to elaborate on the secret squirrel deal/signing 'in a public forum', Commodore? The times they are a changing!

Josh the reason why I have elaborated on a
"public forum" is the fact the second part of
the equation has now been highlighted by the media.

Therefore it is no longer confidential.

It is all very simple.

As for the person who stated I need to do more homework be assured I don't require to however I won't comment if I consider confidential material and trust are being breached.

You guys can have a shot at me and that is fine however it will not change my approach to posting authenticity which I have done in the past and will continue to do so.

Commo, I see they have you up on the cross. But just like JC, you have risen from the dead.
What is it with the Commo bashing? You should be bloody happy you have someone who gives such an insight. Talk about bite the hand that feeds.
Keep it up, we won't have any paddock goss.
Commo so far has been proved spot on with his comments.
BTW Commo, I like the new livery of the car. Nice job!
