Its better to be no.2 to Vettel than no.2 to Ferdi ask Massa or Grosjean or any of Seb's or Ferdi's previous teammates like Bourdais or Hamilton.

And I think its better to be no.2 at Redbull than no.2 at Ferrari atleast in Mark's opinion coz in Ferrari, no.2 is inked on ur contract unlike Redbull and u have to give racewins to ur teammate instead of taking him out of the race. The only things better in Ferrari are bucks and an older no.1 who is still younger than Webber and a slower (than Seb) and poor qualifier no.1 but more arrogant and rude. But now Seb too is an establisshed driver and a benchmark for other drivers.

I have to weigh in in support of Commodore here. Clearly he originally was making the point that there was a letter of intent with Ferrari, not that Webber had signed a binding driver contract. He made that point in the context of people saying this was all media hype and there was no foundation in fact for the suggestion that Webber may drive for Ferrari. Richard is splitting hairs with his criticism. DTS's comments on Commodore's contribution are spot on.

Commodore, like Richard and Sunny, has considerable insight and I am really surprised that Richard has been so miserable in his comments about Commodore.

richard is right, commo as clearly found reverse gear with his assertions he made on another thread. It would be nice if certain parties would not jump to his side just because they feel they have to show some sort of patriotism as it seems those who are defending are from the land which gave the world home and away and neighbours which is most probably the country's best exports.

Commo seems to be a respected member on this site and it would be nice if some would just steer him in the right direction when giving info on here, i lost 150 quid because i was lead to believe that webber would be at Ferrari next year.

This is exactly what Commodore said in the original post:

'Mark has signed a Letter of Intent with Ferrari and a pre-contract document.'

Anyone who has any legal comprehension or understanding can see that is not a binding contract. Commodore maintains a letter of intent was signed, so I do not see him back peddling in any sense.

And Commodore also said this:
Their is no surety it will happen however the serious
intent exists .

Anyone who bet 150 quid on such a basis is a mug. And anyone who actually paid up already is an idiot - nothing will be certain until we see the colour of the car Mark is sitting in at the first race of 2013.

However as a consolation for your loss, and to show there are no hard feelings from down under, I can offer you an exclusive deal on a one third share in the Sydney Harbour Bridge - for you just $150.

yes it seems i have been a mug listening to someone who i thought knew his stuff when posting about Vettels side kick, but ill have to put it down to experience and try not to listen to the blarney coming out of that region in future.

Turkey i had planned to put a deposit down on a set of rims for my Honda type r now ill have to wait for another month until i get my wages, this as really set me back.

googol. i have not made miserable comments about commodore, as i class him as a keyboard friend, and deliberately did not wade into attack. all i said was that it appeared that he was rowing back on his earlier comment.
but i still would like to draw your attention to the fact that webber has stated that there has been NO contact with or from ferrari, and that he has signed nothing. this story surfaces every year, and last year, di montemezelo stepped in to categorically deny that there had been any contact last year, despite the many rumours.

the story is over! that is, until lulus letter of intent is mentioned, or vettels, or kubica, or even your own :-) :-)
