So another race where drivers will be watching tyres instead of racing. What is the point of having high performance 2.4 v8 engines with 18000rpm and a bhp of 700+ just to drive around a circuit trying to predict when the tyres are going to hit the cliff.

At this rate i can see Indy becoming the pinnacle motoring sport.

Come on FIA get your act together.

Ron, Yeah go back to those nice long lasting Bridgestone's that they ran in China 2007. They were bulletproof, there's no way any driver could shaft them to the stage that they fall off the pit in road and land in the World's smallest gravel trap, no chance.....

Ahhh the good old days.

Ty, no matter the make of the tyre as long as racers can race that is and should be paramount and if a team miscalculates how long to leave a driver out on a set of tyres that results in a rookie just missing out on making history then so be it, as i believe those bulletproof tyres were also used in 2008 when last lap Hammi had the brains to let Glock come to him thus becoming the youngest something or other. As long as drivers can race to their maximum potential then drivers have to take the rough with the smooth.

Ron, Ahh the teams fault, of course how silly of me.

As we have established on another thread 25 years old is far too young for a certain chap to realise that lying is wrong, so at what age to you think a driver should be able to spot that they've shafted their tyres once again and call the pits to suggest that perhaps it would be prudent to fit some new ones?

The way you speak about poor young Lulu and his inability to think for himself leaves me hoping that Whitmarsh or Button remembers to take him to the loo every couple of hours, could get damn messy in the McLaren garage if they forget.

Taigherkin, then you must give him full credit when he spotted Glock on slicks in the rain? And i thought all drivers had a pee boy. Very common once your net worth reaches the hundreds of millions.

rob. lulu didn't spot anything, other than seb flying past and disappearing into the distance on the same tyres!
but lulu was TOLD by the team that glock was on slicks and was in some tyre trouble. dont give credit to lulu for something he didnt do!
