F1 » Senna's seat under threat at Williams

Bruno Senna is looking like the odd man out at Williams, after Pastor Maldonado's race win and Valtteri Bottas' impressive practice performances puts his position under threat.

What a load of ca@p. So Botas is 5th in P1 and Bruno is 18th in P2. Not a single team will have gone for a "fast lap" in FP1, so it's usually the case that the sh1t drivers are nearer the top. Hense Bruno being lower in FP2 when the fast laps start to come. So the Botas comparrison is rubbish. And if you had said last year that Williams will have a 6th and a 7th out of Bruno, you'd have said they've done well 'coz the car is sh1t. So all in all, they have years of dire racing, now, one good result for Maldonado and suddenly Senna will lose his seat??? What a load of balls...

I think this is quite unfair on Senna. He's had some good races so far this season. This weekend was rubbish, I agree, but it was partly due to difficult circumstances. And I also think that the lack of P1 practice is probably hurting him compared to Maldonado.

Maldonado winning and suddenly everyone forgets what Senna achieved prior this race. Just to remember: Senna had 14 points while Maldonado had 4. Maybe next time Senna will be at the front. That time he will be a hero and Maldonado 'just another pay driver'?

'Bottas has already been handed the FP1 outing for 15 of the 20 Grand Prix weekends, limiting Senna's opportunity to familiarise himself with the track and putting him on the back foot for the race itself'

How the hell can Williams expect Senna to do well in quali when he is always on the back foot?

His race is fine. His 6th in China was fantastic when you consider he was at the back of the field after the restart. Even last year with Lotus/Renault he outqualified Petrov despite starting later in the season. He had P1 and P2 on Friday to get used to things.

I wonder how Maldonado would fair if he only had P2 to prepare the car on a Friday and then had one practice on the Saturday to prepare for quali?

Until Spain, Senna had the most points on merit. Get rid of him now and it would be unfair!

To Dannyisnow

So Maldanado outperfomed Rubens considerably?
Not according to any of the stats...in fact the partnership was one of 2011's most one-sided in Rubens' favour.

The Finnish sponsor Wihuri, is that Arturo Arneo Wihuri who's name was on Leo Kinnunens 917 Porsche under the guise of Racing Team AAW in the 1970,s in the Interserie series, mmm sounds familiar!!

Bottas has said that he will not run FP1 in Monaco. This will be a good chance for Bruno to get his Set-up as he wants it. I feel good about this one, I may be the only one but I feel Bruno will get top 5 in the race.
