It's amazing how wannabe couch-drivers regard themselves as experts in judging driving abilities. Whatever past results may say they are only an indication. I'm quite amazed at how quickly one result can erase the past. Las year Maldonado was constantly being out-qualified and out-performed by 39-year old veteran Barrichello. On several occasions, including this year, he's made mistakes and /or crashed out in practice or during races. With bags of oil-money supporting him, however he was given a proper chance and finally he got a decent result. So far, one and only. Regardless of what Frank Williams says to boost the teams PR he has yet to prove that that there will be any consistency to come.
Bruno Senna however, has not yet managed to get ONE proper chance. Forget HRT, the moving chicanes... Last year thrown in at Lotus for a handful of races and yes, some inconsistent results but several promising moments. At least as consistent as Mr Maldonado. And now at Williams. But how is he tr

Bottas time on Fp1: 1:25:120
Bruno time on FP2: 1:25:040
The positions in practice mean nothing. Specially on FP1
Bruno has to work on race set ups and heavy fuel loads to compensate for time lost in FP1
while Botas just do laps.
Come people, are you so dumb about Practice runs. My son who is 12 races in Junior Rotax and we do it all the time to scare other teams. Run underweight, and all.

googol. i cannot remember why senna snr changed his name, but lalli made claims that he did not want to make his way as ayrtons nephew. he wanted to be remembered in his own name....then promptly changed it when he found that 'senna' would open doors that were otherwise shut. a DELIBERATE ploy.

unfortunately, he will be remembered now, but not in the right way!

Richard, Da Silva is probably the most common name in Brazil that's why Ayrton dropped it, Senna on the other hand is about the most famous name in Brazil and that's why Bruno... you know the rest.

Hey just a thought on this weekend... i noticed Lewis make an effort to personally congratulate Frank Williams and then again on the BBC interview he congratulated him again... Any thoughts on Lewis trying set up a drive with Williams in 2013....??? interesting combo with him and Pastor and with Williams getting back to the top he could take the credit and glory!??
