Massa had the fastest car in 2008 and he still couldn't beat an inconsistent Lewis Hamilton! Massa isn't the first driver Ferrari have supported only to turn out as weak as soft-boiled egg when everything isn't perfect.

To all of you gibbering that Massa was never that good and over rated, just think if it wasn't for a couple of major screw ups by Ferrari and Tim O'Glock forgetting how to drive a lap another over rated driver would never have lucked into his only World Championship win.

inco. you really have a lousy view of massa. you quote the year that massa nearly won the wdc and claim that massa had the quickest car. in fact he hadnt, yet was streets ahead of lulu except for two incidents, one of which saw his engine blow, a few laps from the end of a race, and when he was leading by miles. i cant rmember where lulu wa, ut he wasnt in the hunt.
massa is still a better driver than more than half the grid, earned his place in ferrari .

Taipan: yes he almost won, notice the word ALMOST but it s now clear it's time to either retire or move to another team, you cannot survive on past near glory.

The last thing any serious driver should do is go to Ferrari while Alonso is there. Massa's perfomance is dropping through the floor because he is getting little to no support from the team. With Ferrari being so focused on Alonso, Felipe, or whoever the second driver is, will get a compromised car, the short end of the stick.

so taipan you would say that alonso lucked in-to his 2nd wdc because MSC had an engine failure, or kimi lucked
in-to his championship because of hamilton gearbox problem and alonso having mach problems eariler in the seasons, or would you say vettel first tile was lucked in-to because of ferrari jumping the gun too early on the pit stops. You can't say someone lucked in-to and shouldn't win the title as at the end of the day they won it fair and square and thats all. Hamilton 2008 title win is as good and fair a championship win as MSC in 2004 or hakkinen in 1998 or mansell in 1992 etc

Boss, add that Vettel was gifted by Ferrari and you can see that pointing to the last race as the deciding factor is taipanish. But if you read his post through and through you will see that he never has said he hates Lewis. Its the Lewis nation that he dislikes.

bossman, rob
Stop those non-sense ramblings. Vettel wasn't lucked into his 2010 c'ship. He would have dominated 2010 if not for the mechanical failures.

Infact Vettel shud have won in 2009 but couldn't because of dominant Brawn and Redbull treated both drivers equally unlike many champions in their c'ship winning years.

Richie,

I just don't buy the argument that Massa is getting a dud car from Ferrari. The last thing Ferrari want is for one of their cars to be at the back of midfield. Even if Ferrari have prioritised Alonso (like RBR prioritise Vettel) that does not mean that Massa is not getting a proper level of support. We all know that even if you have not got the latest upgrades you can still win (remember Webber Silverstone 2010).
