They may continue to be fierce rivals on track, but McLaren has offered to help get Williams back on track after the fire that damaged its Barcelona pit garage.

McLaren's generosity has not gone unnoticed, although one wag tweeted that he hoped Williams would turn down the offer of wheelguns and refuelling equipment following the Woking team's recent pit-stop problems....

Great to see, and full respect to teh McLaren boys, eben though I'll bet none of the tennures at Williams were probably that enjoyable!. lol

Go on Williams, brings goose bumps thinking of the success of the past, which hopefully has now been refound!.

That is very nice of McLaren but also to the rest of the teams and members that also helped to out the fire out!

It just shows that the may all be competitors but they are all like one big family, if one is in need of help, they will all help out with whatever they can.

I hope that the mechanic with 40% burns can make a full recovery!
