F1 » Webber: Fans want rivals, not multiple winners

Mark Webber has claimed that F1 fans could be turned off by the thought of the sport having too many different winners in one year.

Mark Webber's biggest rival is Sebastien Vettel, just as I think Lewis Hamilton has finally recognised that no matter how un/competitive the car is relative to the other teams, Jenson Button is his biggest rival.

He is another massa in the making completely out driven by his teamate last year , had his chance in 2010 and blew it, he button and massa are obviously the no2 drivers so wouldn't his team mate be his rival , it's great watching seb whooping his aussie ass on the track that's a great rivalry?
i would prefer multiple winners rather the just 2 throughout the season as that is indicative of competiveness between the teams rather then dominance of just 2 teams

Webber is just moaning like button does because really they are average drivers and are being out shone by maldanaldo and grojan

Webber needs to go down under and not come back

This is what F1 is supposed to be about. Its not just who can win the most races but who is the most consistent driver which so far in my opinion IS Webber. I hope the uncertainty stays for the rest of the season, whoever becomes the world champ can hold up the trophy knowing that he is the best and most deserving out of a very even field.
This is an exciting year indeed!

Mark! Give it time a rivalry will emerge at some point this season!

@SonOFaGun how are Button and Webber average ?

Button has won a race this year unlike Hamilton and has beaten him or been in front of him before something has happened to him during the race at all but one race this year, he also has more podiums in the their time as team mates and beaten Hamilton on more occasions!

Webber has been a lot closer to Vettel this year and been on pace better more often than not but has had bad luck.. .agin this year including his team thinking he had done enough to make it into Q3 so they didn't send him out, you're a mindless keyboard jokey!
