F1 » Schumacher: It's just beautiful

Michael Schumacher: Okay, it has taken a little bit longer than I might have wanted in the second chapter of my career, but that makes it even sweeter.

this is what schumis fans have been waiting for..secound sector was supream...half asecound up..lost 4 tenths on last sector..shame...but fantastic.
i was starting to think this comeback wouldnt work.
but if he can perform like that around monaco maybe it can work...good luck for tomorrow schumi...you said you would qualify on pole start sixth and win the race..youve done the first part...now go and win.

My memory of Schumacher at Monaco was him blocking the track in 2006, two seasons after he should have retired.

How many laps before he bangs into somebody today?

I found the BBC commentary absolutely disgusting on MS pole lap, the man has just got pole and they spent more time trash talking him, such a pity and shameful when you hear so much negative comments on what was great drive.

Funky, Funny how you remember that from 2006, what I remember from that year is Schumacher starting last and finishing 5th, not a bad effort at Monaco.

As for the rest of his Monaco career, I remember 5 wins, 3 poles, 7 podiums, more fastest laps there than anyone else, more points scored there than anyone else, more km's led there than anyone else and the last driver to complete a Grand Chelem there in 94, as I said funny how different people remember different things....

@ Taipan

That's ok, I guess people have selective memories. Do you remember him being busted with illegal software in his car, using illegal fuel rigs in 1994 when he "won" the grand chelem?

A few deliberate rams for some WDC's and he goes down in the record books for some, for others he will just be remembered as a cheat who had the poor form to celebrate ecstatically when he won race that killed two competitors.

So I guess we are all free to remember schumi however we see best.
