sunny. it is the definition of what is a HOLE. the current slot is classed as a hole, as it is completely surrounded by solid. however, if a saw cut is made from the existing unbroken hole, towards the side, it then becomes a fully fledged SLOT and not a hole. i know it sounds totally stupid, but sauber and ferrari have similar holes (ferrari has three each side) but as they have a cut to the edge of the floor, they are totally legal. mclaren used this sawcut on their exhaust outlets, so as to overcome the ban on holes, whilst there is no ban on slots. as i said....totally mad!
so the question now is,,,when is a hole not a hole....answer...when it is a slot!

ps any new projects in the pipeline?

Richard, “when is a hole a hole!” a hole will always be a hole, it has been the one controversial thing ever since the advent of man according to the bible (Adam and eve) best depicted in the shape of an apple.
What I was saying is, the latest interpretation depicting a true A HOLE IS THE FIA ITSELF.
