I don't agree but I don't disagree either. I would wait until he's not leading the championship then see he's true character. Because in F1, you are as good as your last race. FA has done a wonderful job so far but lets wait and see.

I would agree he is the best simply because he does not seem to have any weak points, he is fast when it counts, probably the best under pressure and just seems to keep making his way to that podium no matter what he is driving. I would like to see him retire at least a 3 time world champion.

as has been shown on this site, you cannot quantify who is the best driver, or even what makes the best driver. there is no doubt that alonso is doing a great job at present, but this is helped by the efforts of his team to improve what was a pig of a car. it was 1 sec or more off pace, but is now there with the best. flip was able to keep up with him at monaco, and was faster for quite a while, so i am glad to see that flip is now on a par with "the best driver in the world".
if ferdi does not win in canada, will he no longer be the best driver in the world?

Sebastian is the best driver in the world (no, not the cucumber).
Seb Loeb is!!
That's consistency of performance and titles within different cars and rules.
