"I thought Britain was a democracy"
No brother, you guys in the UK gave up all your rights LONG ago.
It would take 50 years of block voting in elections to get back any of the reasonable freedoms that you've thrown away through fear mongering and political correctness.
To Quote Basil Fawlty,
"Sorry Mate, That's your Lot"
Enjoy your Nanny State, you earned it..

PS: EJ and DC are just plain annoying. I'll take MB any day.

When I was a kid growing up in the 70's you couldn't even watch F1 on TV. I subscribed to Autoweek and read about the races weeks after they ran and didn't mind that either actually.

#145.50 for no adverts on BBC is well worth it. I fail to see why Sky force people to pay a vast amount for their service and then force 9+ minutes per hour of product advertising, especially as I end up having to pay extra for goods advertised on Sky even though I don't subscribe. Call that freedom?

Combined peak viewing figure for Spain were 8.8% down on 2011, Monaco 22.6% down. Project that loss worldwide and 100m viewers are lost. What do you think the big sponsors will make of that?
Bernie is biting the hand that feeds him - not a good idea.

To the comment that BE has something against the UK - he has a long-standing grudge against the "establishment" blazers who administered motorsport in the 50's, 60's & 70's - from his background and upbringing, and being regarded as a wide-boy upstart. He's never missed an opportunity since to take a swipe at them, and their successors. Sadly we enthusiasts just get caught in the cross-fire.

No problem - This weekend I am watching F1 on RTL, using an extra satellite dish, pointed towards Astra 19.2E. My audio will come from Five Live. It costs less than GBP200 including the receiver ... up yours Murdoch!

You can kill anything. Already the races in the middle east I don't care for, now cost more to see the races. lost viewer may not made the sponsors happy. for the big bucks you want as many people as you can get, to see and hear your name
