if alonso is getting so much praise being in a 'bad' car just because of how relative massa's performance has been, wouldn't it mean hamilton's also going beyond the car's limits relative to how button is doing???? baring in mind mclaren dont have 1st driver/2nd driver set up..

Alonso is only getting praise for Magic performances in a bad car because it is his own fans saying that, trying to big him up. Add to that a mega ironic failure to understand that Magic is a trick, a cheat, not real...

Fact is that the Ferrari has a very good race pace a lot of the time and that, just as nikisan points out, Hamiltons performance is far more impressive as he is genuinely in competition with his team mate and does not have the benefit of having a second car and driver at his disposal.

interesting to see ferrari switching exhausts from one car to another. ferdi and flip are both on pace. and i notice that the slot issue has not affected the bulls in any way. but...(dont shoot me!) did you notice the amount of times that lulu was locking up? hopefully this will be sorted for quali.

most interesting thing seen....1 groundhog, 1 grey squirrel, 1 urban fox. i know it is only practice, but i think that the squirrel was fastest. :) :)

It was surprising to see Red Bull go out in the supersofts and not making a supertime. Mclaren and Ferrari are looking good, but Hamilton is shaping up to be unbeatable this weekend. With that said, I thing is gonna be Hamilton, Alonso and perhaps a sauber in the podium come Sunday. It is unfortunate that Button is struggling with both the set ups and his mechanical failures and for those haters out there, there is simply no comparison between Massa and Button, their struggles are completely different.

Clearly the urban fox is the sensible choice for the race due to it's smooth stalking style. But on out-and-out pace the squirrel will beat it to the bins.

Nope. I'm not an Alonso fan yet I'll be the first person to proclaim that he's the best driver out of the current lot. I know many people who aren't fans yet show tremendous respect to the guy. Why? Because he earns it.
