Jenson Button insists that he can recover from the setbacks of day one in Canada, when his track time was seriously curtailed by mechanical gremlins.

Button can use Lewis's data and have a good idea on set up. He must be happy the McLaren is out front. Terrible that after a layoff the car comes to the grid with leaks. Something needs to change.

This is the type of attrition that happens in tight competition, and although it sinks for it to happen to Button, I must say that it has been a very long time since the engineering side of F1technical looked so frantic!

It would be false economy for the mechanics not to have installed a 'balance' scale once the back of the car was stripped. Jens has been looking for it for a while.
