Jenson Button insists that he can recover from the setbacks of day one in Canada, when his track time was seriously curtailed by mechanical gremlins.

Button can use Lewis's data and have a good idea on set up. He must be happy the McLaren is out front. Terrible that after a layoff the car comes to the grid with leaks. Something needs to change.

This is the type of attrition that happens in tight competition, and although it sinks for it to happen to Button, I must say that it has been a very long time since the engineering side of F1technical looked so frantic!

If Button is only .6 off Hamilton after not doing many laps and not getting a decent low fuel run in doesn't that mean he is looking strong this weekend ?

SKY pundit Gary Anderson reckoned Caterham rebuilt Heikki's car in the time it took McLaren to change the gearbox. A question of which driver is getting more inconvenienced
