F1 » Hamilton's the lucky seventh winner of 2012

Lewis Hamilton played a blinder to win the Canadian Grand Prix, despite McLaren misreading the strategy of their rivals. Fortunately, Red Bull and Ferrari got it wrong too.

Hamilton on 88 points Jenson 45 with only 7 races i think that is 43 points was that the margin between the two over twenty races last season.

I hope JB will get his confidence back as if Lewis pulls out anymore points it could get to Jenson as we all know he is a world class driver.

@Ron I'm surprised... you've changed your tune!

Hamilton drove a good race and I hope his team mate can get his act together soon and fight with the other champions!

McLaren weren't wrong.

They pitted because it was wise, as a result Ferrari and Red Bull realised that only a one stopper would win it... Consequently that gamble left them with 5th from 2nd, and only by 4 tenths.

1 stop was not an option at race winning pace.
