F1 » Hamilton's the lucky seventh winner of 2012

Lewis Hamilton played a blinder to win the Canadian Grand Prix, despite McLaren misreading the strategy of their rivals. Fortunately, Red Bull and Ferrari got it wrong too.

What a great race by Hamilton, a master class in fact!... but lets not forget, McLaren run well at Canada, so lets not getting your hopes up... look at the calender and then look at what favours the McLaren... unfortunately this could be a lucky hit... but no taking away from the pure speed that Hamilton showed yesterday. Great race for him. Unlicky for Renault. I think Lewis was very demeaning yesterday to both Grosjean and Perez... "amazing job by you guys" means... waow, look at you standing up here on the podium with me!... cocky, maybe... just insulting more than anything.

@Crash, who wrote this article, mickey spillane? I thought I was reading a detective novel!
Anyway Lewis was way due for a win, good for him. Jenson has caught Shumi's luck and what a pity for both of them.

It's amazing how some individuals can not give credit without criticism, lewis hamilton demeaning the other podium drivers, he congradulated them, he shook their hands, he was last out to the ceremony stage, never upstaged grosjean or perez in any view.
Lewis seems to have matured in defeat and victory, he's calm and reserved. His statement about consistency shows in demeanor. Can you give lewis the same respect which the other drivers receive, maybe you can't, but he deserves it.

@sean, don makes a valid point so i'm not sure why you think it an immature comment?

Ich, i agree with you. i think Teflon is the best driver on the grid today and anyone who argues against this is somewhat deluded imho.
He's not the fastest, by his own admission he says Hamilton is faster, but he is the most consistent and will always extract the last gram of performance out of any car he drives. i dislike him as a person but i give him his due respect as a racing driver because he is that good.

LH is able to extract more from his car while button is waiting for a perfect car that will never come. you his fancy and him (buttom) cant keep using suspension excuse for 4 different race.

The last 4 race were in different tracks with different requirement so why is he the only person week in week out with issue.

The truth of the situation is because of the car been so closed together making an average driver like button suffer.

unlike LH last who was crashing he button clearly lack LH race speed simple.

The thing am Shammy fans, is that they mistakenly believe that he is unquestionably the best. If you go back a few years, long before any of you Shammy Fans started watching F1, cause Shammy only come in to the sport in 07, then you would realise that he is nothing in comparison. I always ask Shammy fans to correct me, I always say that I'm happyto be wrong, but when asked for them to highlight his achievements over the last three years, NOT ONE OF YOU CAN DO IT!. I wonder why that is? Its a clear as day, Shammy wonthe 08 title thanks to Alonso's team mate... who intentionally hit the wall to get him to the front of the pack. Massa was in the lead, clearly, he had a stop and the fuel hose got stuck. He lost 9 points... Hamilton stole that championship by 1 measly point.

NubeF1 - Vettel has had the best car over anyone for the last 3 years. He has carte blanche with the powers that be. Lewis has made mistakes in the past, but no one is better at overtaking. He has shown a great deal of wisdom this year. If Mclaren can improve on pit stops, he will be in line for another Championship!
