Lewis Hamilton insists that he never doubted he could win in Canada, but had to produce one of his best drives to do it.

With confidence, Lewis had won even before he had started. For Ferarri and Red Bull he was the bookies favourit at 10-3, so they were racing him and became somewhat disillusioned by greed.Good team work, Lewis outsmarted his rivals making history at the same time.

What a masterful display by Lewis at the Canadian grand prix!!!
It's only the seventh race and Lewis is 43 points ahead of his highly praised No.1 team mate. In fact had it not been due to Lewis' misfortunes at the hand of his team, this lead could easily have been greater. The 2012 season hadn't even started before expert after expert told us just how brilliant Jenson is and how he was the biggest threat to Vettel's domination. Jenson himself could not even keep quiet as we heard interview after interview about how the car is now designed around him and kept making sneaky little comments about how much better he is than Lewis. People should have known something was amiss because Lewis kept a very low profile through all this and he did not say too much through winter testing and as the season began.
Yes, Lewis had problems last year and most of the problems I admit were of his own making but he must be given admirable credit for having taken all the criticism on the chin and thereaf

Yes, Lewis had problems last year and most of the problems I admit were of his own making but he must be given admirable credit for having taken all the criticism on the chin and thereafter reinventing himself into a consistent driver that can look after his tyres, aggressive and yet patient overtaker and most of all has seemingly attained a clear mind set.
Jenson has just seems to have found himself in the lion's den, earlier predictions on his fate at joining McLaren were after all probably true and are now coming to pass. No excuses Jenson, a No. 1 driver and former champion must be able to adapt to rule changes, must have a better than average ability to qualify to the front row and must simply be able to get more out of whatever given car. Jenson cant just complain about the car's balance, understeer and oversteer all the time. What we are witnessing is what a grand master like Alonso have known and respected all along and yet people still take whatever cheap shots they can on Le

Brilliant drive!
Lewis will now be in less of a hurry to decide on next year, and I am certain he moved to the very top of at least two other teams' lists.
I wonder what a world driving championship is worth as a free agent in today's world. We might soon see.

I find it hard to feel sorry for Jenson, as i was not impressed when he deliberately tried to undermine Lewis over testing in Italy. When Lewis wanted to get to grips with the tyre problems that both drivers were having Jeson said it would of been a waist of time now you are forty plus points behind your teammate and is at a lost to why you are not being competitive in a similar car driven by the person you tried to make look stupid.

lulu has won ONE race this year. even maldonado and rosberg have managed that. and he is leading the wdc by a couple of points.

the season is only one third over, and who knows what will happen. and dont forget, bigjohn and sergio nearly beat him. now, if he had been 40 secs ahead of second place, i could understand more interest in him, but TWO POINt FIVE secs ahead of a lotus and a sauber!!!??? it was the TEAM that gave him the win, and he is part of the team.

Fascinating race, Fernando and Lewis are the only two drivers on the grid that can ring the neck of their respective cars and get the best out of them. Did you hear the way they complimented each other in their interviews, its like their not concerned with the other drivers and shows how highly they rate one another.
