Fernando Alonso gave his fellow Spaniards a second morale boost in 24 hours with an unexpected victory in the European Grand Prix.

"Alonso ends streak..."

For now, yeah! But let's not count out the post-race stewards' assessment of Alonso's statement that his car stopped owing to 'some' issue.

The couple of Italian radio transmissions were definetely suspicious, had Alonso been pushed by Gro/Ham/Kim, i'm willing to bet that his fuel load - or maybe, the lack of which - would have done him more damage than his tyre wear!

He might just get away with it, given Ferrari's dimplomatic prowess with F1 management. But there are no assurances as yet!
