What a stonking race!
At Valencia!!
So now can we officially put to rest all the whining from the "Purists" about the tyre, drs, kers etc.
PLEASE!!
If the regs can make a great race on THAT track, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with them.
Lottery be damned, that was just some damn fine racing.

So where would Alonso have finished if there was no safety car, Hamilton had brought his pit crew and not a bunch of clowns (again) and Vettel had not broken down, a bit like Button winning in Canada last year, one minute he was a lap down but after FIVE safety cars he wins, a load of s**t, Alonso is good yes but please let us not forget Singapore 2009 or Hockenheim 2010 or silverstone 2011, all memorable wins for Alonso and all described as superhuman but we must remember Valencia 2012 is just as Flukey and Lucky as they come, However well done to Italy tonight, for once the Italians were the better team.

@Rocksteadyeddie

Stop whining coz ur driver didn't win. I enjoyed the race. And even without safety car, Alonso would have finished 3rd or even 2nd, certainly ahead of lulu

Alonso was a lucky winner.But to his credit he did well to start well.But for vettel and Grojean's cars failing he would have been 3rd.Good day.hamilton has always done this right fro his 1yr of racing ie throwing away a good race.In his rookie year all he had to do was to finish 4or5th to win championship, yesterday there was no pint in engaging with maldonado as he was faster and crashed out .4th would have been better than a dnf.

Even if Vettel and Grosjean did not retire, Alonso would most probably be in the podium. Between the three of them I would still think his performance was the best becuase he did all the work. What did Vettel do? Ok, he managed his tyres, but Alonso had to manage tyres, defend and overtake with his crappy (compared to Vettel's)car the whole race.
