There is a huge difference between qualifying speed and race pace. At one point the McLaren had a decent qualifying pace using the DRS at will. But then come race day the pace of the McLaren was NOT the fastest. If the Bulls are allowed to continue with the new parts they had in Valencia the season is over. Vettel was on his way to lap over half the field.

If you honestly think Button's current pace is down to the car simply not being the best, you're dreaming.

Fast car or not, Button has openly admitted that he has had problems with the setup. These problems are the reason for his issues of late.

Do you honestly think, if he felt good in the car and had no issues with the setup that he would honestly be finishing in 16th+ position??

Come on, no F1 fan is that stupid - surely...
