He does have a point...there was other points in a race when marshals were on the track and there was no safety car, there's one shot watching where marshals are trying to move a car and the cars are going past under waved yellows....didn't look safe.

I think he's just sore and looking for excuses. The crash between Vergne and Kovalainen wasn't too bad. What caused the safety car, IMO, was the fact that Vergne then proceeded to head back to the pits, way too fast, and in the course of this destroyed the rear of his car and spread much more debris over a large part of the track than was necessary. We all saw the state of his car after it arrived at the pits. It was unrepairable. After this, I think the safety car was inevitable.

If he wants to blame anybody, blame the inexperience of JEV, who should have either stopped there or returned at a more moderate pace.

yeah, right! And large chunks- no, make that enormous chunks - of polar ice are also melting 'solely' due to global warming. And also, when Perez and Webber claim they are not concerned about rumours linking them to Ferrari, they are really being truthful and nor are their managers undertaking any sort of negotiation with Ferrari at all, it's just a figment of media imagination!

And while we are at it, anything else to appease the 'innocent' minds, who refuse to beleive that almost every commerical proceedings in this world are contaminated by opportunistic conspiracies?

The safety car deployment itself may well be valid, but the timing and selectiveness of it's deployment - like the selectiviness and timing of which team gets investigated by FIA - is definitely one with with a DARK political cloud above it!

Same thing happened this year to a Mclaren driver, the safety car was deployed and cost the driver the race, but no complaints was made then. Pettal should learn its not his god given right to win every time.

If the safety car had never been introduced to F1, would tehy have red-flagged the race to clear the debris? No, so why the need for the safety car? Surely the circuit can be cleared under double-waved yellows - F1 drivers know to slow down when they see them.
