Regardless of the safety car he had a car failure and hidden "channel" holes on a double floor.Playing with regulation word, the entry hole might be illegal .

@Googs./ izy(Matt)

I would have thought Richard would have taken an
objective view in lieu of the biased road which he has chosen.

Commonsense comes into the equation somewhere in the overall picture.

This topic involves safety/not competition.

Richard this is not an attack on your credibility but mate you need to take all matters into consideration as regards safety in Motorsport.

P.S. Googs. Good to see you back

Yes, seen it clearly. Race stewards obviously involve to make their own hero win that day. Everything shown clearly after Fernando has given green light to push from his race engineer by radio.

1) Safety Car took more than 4 lap to restart the race instead 2 lap as others Team Race Engineer expected.

2) Hamilton did not penalised after caught ignoring Yelow Flags. They know KIMI has pace on that day...

Actually the safety car saved Vettel from blowing up sooner than he did.

We had evidence that the alternator on Sebastian's car was showing signs of overheating before the safety car period, but the slower speeds prolonged its life expectancy slightly," he said.

"Of course, when Sebastian went back up to racing speed the problem stepped up again and the result is now well known. With Romain's car, the problem occurred very suddenly some laps after the safety car had been withdrawn."
