Elijah - Results are vital, but with such a large gap to close in, it will take a while.

However, have a look at their pace, it certainly has improved this year and I would say they are sticking to the promise they made!

First race of the year and they couldn't qualify, now they are out-qualifying and out-racing Maurussia whilst also qualifying within 105% of the Pole mans time! Considering for the past 2 years they have been struggling to get off the back of the grid, I'd call that a good improvement! Now they have a 1.5 second gap to close in on Caterham/Toro Rosso.

They are making improvements, small but steady and if you look at the larger picture and how small the team is - they are doing alright, they are getting more sponsors onboard so they are becoming more financially stable too :)

It's very easy to knock the new teams at the back, people need to remember that they came into F1 on the back of a promise to cap budgets which rapidly dissapeared once the top tems had their say. Hopefully there will be some new engine makers in 2013 much as I think it's a bad idea to change. Bernie is talking about having 23 GPs having agreed to 20 so costs will escalate again. The playing field is not and never will be level, the rules are changed in an almost random fashion to suit the wim of the top teams and then you have Bernie who's only interested in one thing and does'nt have any inhibitions about how he goes about it. The facts are that if you are a small team you put up and shut up and do what your told regardless of what is best for you.

James, I shot my mouth off too soon of course you make many good points they are coming from a very low budget base and even rich teams can take many years to gain success if at all. I've said in the past their biggest problem is lack of funds and as you put it they will be more financially stable with more sponsors. I'll just have to wait a bit longer before they get that top engine change.
