Hmmmmm let me guess Mr McNish is Scottish. First it was DC and then JS and now AM.

Why do fellow clansmen keep hyping up a driver who has not shown anything special since his introduction into F1.

Maybe Taz,Liam48 or Taipan could enlighten me

Can't really be bothered responding to your drivel today but....if Mansell and Hill etc say Hamilton/Button deserves a win are they talking him up or been patriotic....go figure.

What a dumb thing to say. You don't get ready for the podium, it happens when it happens.

This just gives me the idea that someone out there trains drivers how to stand on a podium, accept trophies from important people and spray champagne

If he did make the podium I would be very surprised.
I really don't see any real speed. That maybe because he
driving a sub-par car, so all I can do is guess-ti-mate.

You are looking for some sensible information
from Taz, Richard, Tiapan, 2009 (aka Sunny)
Ok you asked, Humbugery you'll get.
One other thing, that word "clansmen"..Careful Amigo
that word here in Brooklyn can produce some nasty
belligerent response ..

In F1 DIR has shown that he can put a relatively slow car in the top ten on a regular basis. In the formulas leading up to F1, where the cars are mostly equal, he wins. I recommend you Google 2006 F3 Euroseries and you will see some very familiar names well down the drivers championship table. The first year DTM scrub the silly handicap (weight) system, he wins. This is why the top teams are interested in him and have been for quite some time.

The evidence is there. If he is in a competitive car he will come out on top over a season,

chis, i love f1 and have been watching from i was a youngster in the earlie nineties.

As for the young lad i just believe people are biging him up because he is British. As i have said he has done nothing in F1 for him to be put before the likes of Grosjean,Perez and Kobi. Kobi is suffering because he is Japanese and is not maybe seen as Marketable as other drivers but he has been doing the the bizz for a few seasons now and in a Red Bull or a Mclaren he would be dangerous

I do think DiResta is a young and very level headed guy and if he went to a top team i see him doing a Coulthard type job sensible and safe
