Jenson Button: It was good to get a point in my home Grand Prix, but of course that's not what we ought to be doing

Dont worry Jens the Mclaren cars was of the pace today and you did your best. Cant expect to beat a British record breaker like your teammate but you gave it your best.

It's not just the cars - whoever is running the mclaren strategies is also 'off the pace'. Both jenson and Lewis were left out too long after their first set of tyres were loosing them time, and couldn't understand running the soft tyres in the middle of the race (especially since they were not giving much of a time benefit - best to leave them to the end where you could at least have got a bit more life out of them if not lap time)... Alonso and Webber's strategy made sense even if they differed, and to be fair I think Ferrari should have won that if they had gotten the softer tyre wear right and pitted a little later...
Somehow after only a few months since Australia, Ferrari and mclaren seem to have reversed roles.

It appears that McClaren have dropped well behind Ferrari and Red Bull and are little better than mid field runners at the moment, together with Button's complete loss of form Ron Dennis must be wondering what to do next. McClaren are very good at talking up their wonderful history and ability to get the job done but they fail consistantly to produce the best car and have'nt won a constructers title for years. I would guess there will be a huge shake up before the start of next season such as has happened at Williams. They are not producing the results so something has to change. Both drivers today said the car was not good enough and it's not often that happens. Mr Whitmarsh take notice!

McLarens designers produced 'another' very competitive car, the team develop faster than any others (according to many), the 'race team' however, are the ones failing to deliver, for this race, the much maligned pit crews produced the slickest pit stops whilest elsewhere in the team, someone chose to go in a flawed direction with car set-up/strategy

I said it on Twitter at the time... "this guy is a top bloke" right after the race and all the P.R. stuff he went over to the fans at the pit wall and started chatting to them before he got pictures taken and started signing autographs and he done this all for the fans as he had a rubbish race and couldn't give them much to cheer about today.

That is one of the main reasons I'm a huge fan of his he is really down-to-earth and does so much for the fans you don't see many drivers do what he done after a rubbish race what he done today... top marks to the guy... once again... TOP BLOKE!

let me just press the thumbs down, as Liam48 thinks Jenson TOP BLOKE when it is Alonso who is TOP BLOKE and jenson 8 bloke 79 points behind top bloke, just like Murray not top bloke.
