Former F1 driver Mika Salo, a race steward at Valencia two weeks ago, says Pastor Maldonado needs to learn when to back off if he's to avoid more penalties.

I doubt PM is going to take note he seems to have a red mist that takes over. Maybe he should have the team count to 10 in his ear while he's trying to make a pass

@hiroshi
Maldonado seems to have an overly aggressive side to his character when on the track which he seems unable to control. Your counting idea could be helpful.

I can see them calling his bluff at contract time. Now they seem to be able to build a good car there will be many good drivers looking for a seat. sutil for instance.
On the other hand they may love the oil money and be happy to let the lad blunder round the tracks causing chaos.

@bob

I think the oil money cheque will sway Williams as long as it justifies the parts bill. I think Williams could achieve more with a more experienced lineup. I don't see Maldonado changing his ways.

This guy is really dangerous, everybody seems to forget that he already destroyed the life of a worker at Monte Carlo a few years ago, he was even banned to race again there but, money talks. It is a shame, I thought F1 racing was a sport not war. Send him to race at NASCAR.

Looking at his performance this season Maldonado
has the upper had over his teammate. Senna simply
cannot mach the pace of Maldonado. At this point
I would not label Maldonado as 'Dangerous', aggressive
yes. What wins in F1 is controlled aggression. The veteran
divers know when to attack, or when to hold off.
Pastor Must master this technique, and soon.
If he stays stuck on 'Stupid' he will loose his drive.
Money will not save him..
