McLaren, McLaren or Nascar, take your pick Lulu.

As for those suggesting Williams, why would Frank pay 20 million a year for Lulu when he has Maldonado who pays him 20 million a year and does much the same as Lulu, the odd good race and too many crashes. At least Maldonado is likeable and doesn't blame the team for everything.

I love the way everyone is assuming Hamilton is earning $20,000,000 or will get it in his next contract.
He signed a contract with Mclaren in 2008 for $15million a year which finished this year.

Ron Dennis is on record saying this figure was agreed when the financial situation was fair better than it is now in a world wide recession.
Maybe it's pre-empting negotiations, but Lewis has nothing to hard ball with. RBR don't want him, Ferrari wouldn't sign him, not if there's a possibility of Vettetl in 18 months time, Mercedes are talking with Schumacher to extend his contract.
That leaves Lotus and Williams. But neither will pay the money he seeks.

Nothing to decide, nobody wants him. He's a wanna be rapper. Ya, his rapper friends will work very nicely within the Mercedes style? He's gotta wait till Schumey, Vettel and Webber move on/retire. Then he can pick up the slack or at least attempt to.

jimmy, we have already seen Hamilton and Alonso in the same team and it was an almighty disaster.

Taipan, you are on the money mate. Frank is no dummy. He already has a high risk liability in Maldonado but at east he brings enough money to patch up his wrecked cars.

He has no choice but Mclaren.

If he had signed before Webber and not been silly about it he probably could have got more money out of them too.

I bet the only sticking point is money and the length of the contract. If Hamilton wants a short contract I bet Ron will pay him peanuts, compared to what he is currently on

i agree with the others that Hamilton is unlikely to join Ferrari. He will cause friction within the team and Alonso is doing a very good job now and in the past 2 years by getting Ferrari ahead. LH will not settle for no 2 at Ferrari and he is too risk for Ferrari to mess up the dynamics and resources there.

Lewis should consider acting or rapping. He has plenty of friends in the showbiz to get a second career going. I doubt he will ever win another WDC as long as Vettel or Alonso is driving competitively. As a sportsman, Lewis Hamilton does not have the discipline like the other top drivers. He is just too distracted by his showbiz friends. If Lewis does not get close the gap in the next race with Alonso or Webber, I think he can start partying more and start learning how to rap...

The Guardian ,July 7th

Frank Williams,"Today,Vettel is very good. And Lewis . If you said to me that all the drivers today are free and they're all desperate to get into Williams, I would say, 'Send in Lewis.' I'd say that because he's English and a winner. Lewis? I'd take him any time!"

This comes after Valencia, and the Maldonado/Hamilton track bustup. Frank wants Lewis there ,no better place.
