it's not optimistic, it's his job. he's 40 something points behind with 11 (ELEVEN) GP ahead... in a very close title battle with many contenders. anything can happen. (btw jupiter is in gemini, he should help a libra like kimi... :))

The maths say it is still possible, and he has been spectacular in Previous years at Hockenheim (2004 with the usuaDNF), he was written off when he overcame a larger (relatively speaking) deficit in 2007, this year however Jean Todt isnt on the pit-wall calling the shot's, it is Eric Boullier!
Looking forward to see what Kimi can do this weekend.

I think the Renault could take the title, sadly the drivers that could do it drive other cars!

I think Kimi is doing a superb job, but F1 is ultra competitive at the moment and with the likes of Adrian Newey, Hamster and Alonso around I fear nobody else has much of a chance.

Lotus' improvement/development curve is no better than those in front of them. They need now to out-develop Red Bull, Ferrari, and anything McLaren magically pulls out of the hat, and hold off those on their heels likely to have a few good days before this is over. I'd say the best outcome for 2012 is a 3rd or 4th, with one or even both McLaren's in the mirror - that would be awesome result for a first year return to F1 with a freshly restructured team.
