Sadly this is the ONLY lotus that seems to hate the rain, the other lotus-es that I know all blossom when it rains :-)

On a more serious note, the Lotuses are probably feeling the slow-tyre-heat issue primarily because they had built their car around the innovative 'active ride height' system, which was ultimately vetoed by FIA. As the active ride-height's braking system would 'dip' the front wing during braking, the indirect benefit would be to 'heat' the front tyres( the direct benefit being better stability under braking ). Ironically, the Lotuses ARE facing qualifying issues because their tyres, specially their front tyres that give the cornering grip, are not getting heat generated at the right time!

I'm hopeful Lotus was slow today because they didn't compromise their dry setup for qualifying as much as others, and that tomorrow the sun will shine.

C'mon Kimi, top step! And another good fight through the field for RoGro!

I'm still staggered at Raikkonen's Q1 time, it was well over half a second quicker than anyone else and it was on the mediums, I think that is amazing. Unfortunately the rain came down but watch out for Raikkonen tomorrow, I expect to see some fireworks from him if it's dry.
