F1 » Massa: I won't stay in F1 to make up numbers

Felipe Massa: I want to stay in F1, but it has to be in a situation where I am in F1 to race, not just to participate.

@NK he was gaining pace again back in 2010 that race Stefano (team principal) came over the radio and said "Alonso is fasterrrr than you, do you underrrrstand the message?" is what imo destroyed his career. He was not expecting that from Ferrari and mentally he wasn't prepared for that message. But he has only himself to blame if Ferrari fired Kimi and payed a large some for doing that so Alonso could join that team what was he expecting?! ('comment', ':?')

I hate when noobs talk about Felipe's accident and how he was "never the same" after it. People don't seem to remember he was always an erratic driver, inconsistent and prone to spinning out and going off track in his earlier years at Sauber. Something he's never been able to sort out.

That race in Hockenhiem where he was asked to yield to the faster Alonso probably had a worse impact on his confidence than by getting hit with a spring. I'm glad he's doing better this year, I hope he gets a decent drive if they drop him.

Massa is a better driver than most drivers on the grid. He needs a car that works though for his talent to shine through. Alonso is an exceptional driver ( the best on the grid by far) who can make a crap car look good. That is the only difference. Whoever goes to Ferrari will not fare better.
