BOOYAH!! Hamilton is FAST! Embarassing his world champion team mate by half a second again even though he feels like he's back on form. 4 tenths faster than the field. Finished Q1 on top despite not using the soft tyres.

For the person asking why Mclaren are suddenly so fast: the brought successive upgrades to the last 3 races. In Silverstone (partly due to rain) they failed to get the ones they had there dialled in properly. In Hockeheim they were a very fast car (Button from 6th to 2nd) but were the victims of rain in quali, and Hamilton got a puncture. They've improved the car even slightly more for this race.

But also they have Hamilton driving it - don't forget that Button is still struggling to outpace the other cars.
