how much did ferrari pay to get Kimi not to drive for them? in truth I thought it was a joke about kimi going back to ferrari, and all this about McLaren wanting him back is all hot air as well if you ask me they have one driver in contract with Button and Lewis isnt going anywhere and we all know it.

to put it bluntly Ferrari are not so short sighted that they would employ a driver they paid not to drive for them or chase after Lewis after he ran alonso out once before, they'd be better off with Massa until Seb's redbull contract expires

if massa leaves I'd be looking for someone short term like schumacher to take the 2nd drive which would free up a drive for DiResta at merc

Just for those who mentioned being #2, the last 10 drivers' championships has been won by teams that had a clear #2.

So Ferrari isn't cheating, they simply know the game very well. Oh yeah they actually influence (read "make") the rules.

Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button are actually taking points from each other without knowing it.

"I don't see anyone at Ferrari wanting Kimi back" - let me break the news to you...Kimi would be a nice addition to any team, including McLaren. Get use to it.

really?? for a start IF they were i'm sure they would only be too aware. however, given buttons recent form, could you explain where they are taking points from each other? in buttons case (germany and hungary aside), you need to actually score points to take them from someone, and in hamiltons case, he's only taking points from button IF button is on for points, and directly racing hamilton.

i wish people would THINK about what they are saying instead of posting senseless comments.

@Pole Position like a lot of people I don't really care if schumacher goes to ferrari stays at merc or goes home, I was simply pointing out he doesnt have long left before even his name wont keep him in a half way decent drive. so if he were to go to ferrari and keep the seat warm until Seb's contract expires he at least doesnt have the embarrassment of calling time on his career at the wheel of a hrt.

More importantly, if it were to go this way DiResta gets a manufacturer drive, nothing against force India fighting teams like williams isnt easy but a title isnt going to be coming from a team that generally doesnt run in q3
