From a fans point of view it would be something to see, the 'other' Ferrari driver needs to be able to find a way to race strongly even if Alonso gets the main focus of the team, Kimi has been away for two years, has returned and 'raced' in a tight midfield and at the front, completed 'every' racing lap and is lurking ready to take advantage of any slip ups from the other front runners, perfect fit and i think they would both rise to the occasion, the moment though seems to have passed

When money talks, and as you know ferrari has tons of it. I am sure any driver will be tempted to put their signature on a ferrari contract regardless if they will be driver number two.

Ferrari is a team with a lot of tradition/history and if the terms of the deal are right for him, Kimi will re-sign. For example, if he can leave Alonso to do most of the media PR stuff, or if they offer him a better financial package than Lotus, he will race. This is F1 and money talks! And none of us can judge a driver for the career decisions he makes, just like we all do in life.
