@1Jez - Nope, the national passtime is baseball. While there may be more lawsuits here than in the "Old World" the vast majority of us have never been involved in a lawsuit. If you want to bash America surely you can be a bit more creative than you were.

Easy now Brits. Look in the mirror.
The USA may be litigious, particularly when the NIMBY syndrome pops up, but at least it's not a Nanny State like the UK, and you can walk around with out being surveilled all the time. And no speed cameras, and you can buy a gun if you want to, cars are cheap and so is gas. And unless you are in Washington state it doesn't rain ALL the time. Need I continue, long list if I do.
