Pastor Maldonado: I just need to be focused for the second part of the season and keep our target for the car

Why are so many people surprised by what Maldonado is doing on track? Back in ALL his years there in GP2 he was a wrecking machine taking out other drivers and causing avoidable contact with other drivers almost every weekend. Why would it be different in F1? Anyone who saw him in GP2 knows this is just Maldonado being himself!

It wouldn't surprise me if Williams dropped him if he continues making mistakes and costing them points. He may have sponsorship, but that wont save him if he keeps crashing.

“They're normal mistakes. If you look at other drivers, they've done the same in the past,” he continued.

Other drivers doing the same in the past? I don't remember Alonso, Raikkonen, Webber, Button and many others driving like a wrecking machine at ANY stage at their career.

If only Williams gave Bruno FP1's... He's smarter, was quicker than MAL in GP2 at the time when they both were racing there, so no reason he shouldn't be better long-term option for Williams... Fingers crossed.

An object lesson in how to squander the opportunity of an F1 seat. Being quick is not much good if you can't finish races. If he's back next year, I'll be surprised, unless H. Chavez buys a team for him..
Good riddance. Unsafe at any speed.

@A.S. you are right those who disagreed with your surtainly didn't watch GP2 back in those days. Maldonado wasn't even in the same league as Bruno but he got time in F1 and Bruno still hasn't the experience that hopefully by the season end he will have!

He certainly isn't helping himself gain new fans... He needs a better PR company who can explain to him that fans hate arrogant/inexperienced drivers.... It takes a few world titles before you can afford to be as arrogant as him
