Lewis Hamilton wants to re-sign for McLaren, according to team principal Martin Whitmarsh, who says that talks have been going well despite media rumours linking the driver to other teams.

Personally I don't see Hamilton in Ferrari. If Ferdi has anything to say about this he'll veto it. IF Luca di wants to go ahead and sign him despite Ferdi's veto, I can see Alonso moving back to McLaren.

LH will never get a Ferrari drive. His only possible move ever is when MW leaves the team, but I doubt the Austrian team would have him either.

He better keep his mouth shut and knuckle down and let the results do the talking...

interesting comments from neale and whitmarsh, on other sites. "if lulu wants mclaren, and mclaren want lulu, then we may be able to do a deal".
but with lulu now saying he wants to stay with mclaren, it would appear that he has run out of options, and he is trying to smooth the way to a new contract.

Funny that Hamilton wants to sign for McLaren when all the other options seem to have dried up :p Not knocking him or anything but it's a funny observation and a window into how F1 drivers often negotiate deals.

Not dried up. Ferrari and red bull would not upset their apple carts. By adding a driver that can out perform their number ones. And Lewis has NOT said he would even want to run at Ferrari. It's almost to the point that Red will have to keep Massa with all the drivers who have said they want to stay with their current teams. Not everyone wants to drive for Ferrari .

@ Bill Board I still don't understand why people blow up Ferrari like they're the best team on the grid. I have news for these people. They're not. Redbull is still the best team in F1. But, I do agree with u on one thing Hamilton needs to be quiet. The golden rule in negotiations is u never show your hand.
