Were Ferrari having a holiday break instead of R&D for upgrading???

Or is Alonso just playing down his chance to give a surprise in qualifying???

It is indeed not a good sign to hope for the rain.

2012 was never the year for ferrari w.c it was just the sheer talent of alonso(one of the very few)which catapulted ferrari into an unrealostic position.as vettel said that nomal hierarchy will resume after the silverstone race nd it has..so nw we will see ferrari slipping back by huge margins nd within a race or two we will see the real w.c nd one can just wonder the pain nd agony it will bring to alonso..but all nd all ferrari gave us a nice show in the first half bt their all italian pride has to b shatterd this way.all humans r equal nd talent is nt the previlege of few......in the end they realised bt they lost 3 w.c ..best of luck ferrari nd hard dayz ahead fernando ..all d best

Everyone is talking like it's a done deal for Alonso, a long way to go yet, a DNF for mechanical failure and a few 5th place finishes and it starts to close up.

If he drives like the 1st half he deserves it on merit but seems to me to be a bit early to suggest he'll be 2012 wdc.

The factory shut-down was only for 2 weeks with the other 2 available for car development so Ferrari would have been able to work on any upgrades just like everybody else. However Alonso is basing his thoughts on the Hungary race, but I think we have all learnt that the last race has no bearing on the next one whatsoever!!
