I have to agree with Vettel who has said on Autosport that the F2012 is not as slow as people are making out as you dont have the lead Alonso does with a bad car.

For me Alonso deserves to be leading just due to him being mega regards taking opportunities when they are there for the taking but i think the car should be given more credit.

I completely agree with this. Ferrari does not have the outright pace, both the McLarens and Red Bulls are quicker, but Ferrari have been the most consistent, and being at the top of the table is testiment to Alonso's abilities. I'd go as far as to say, if he wins this year, it will be his best by far. He has pushed that car to the top of the championship, it hasn't carried him there effortlessly. The difference between Alonso and Massa is evidence of that. I believe if Alonso can carry this to the end, it will have him amongst the true greats. Still wins with a lesser car. A great successor to the Schumacher era.
