Louise thank goodness you are not a racing steward who actually know what happened as they have access to a lot more info than we see on tele . You now have about 6 people who also think it was lewis fault against the thousands who know it was RG FAULT

Louise may have a point about Hamilton. Its clear he tried to retaliate a manouvere towards Gros jean when Gros jean moved right, and inexplicably, pushed and damage Hamilton's car against the wall at the start. By Hamilton suddenly accelerating into the back of Gros jean, it caused a domino effect, which sadly, resulted in both Perez, and more worringly Alonso, being driven over their cars by Gros jean! Maldonado, Kobayashi and Gros jean were to blame for the start and the resulting loss of drivers from that race. They all need to be judged by the F.I.A. for the rest of the championship starting from Monza. I hope Alonso is well enough to compete next weekend. He already suffers from back trouble and I suspect it will cause a problem for him for the remaining 8 races until Brazil in late November 2012.

@elijah, Maldonado will never learn until he kills someone, not if but when, based on current form. This guy should be banned from driving a race car. He's got no talent, money and arrogance got him there.

Totally taken back by what happened in the opening moments of the race.... IMO Maldonado initially is the culprit..you don't see a f1 car just jump start like that.. And Lewis could have made room..But really relieved and thank god Alonso escaped from what could have resulted in probably his demise... I Still believe the driver's head is the vulnerable part of an f1 car..Remember Massa's incident ..?

Snake - In all fairness to L.H, it seemed as though his initial reaction was to go to see if F.A was ok but then he stood back as the stewards all rushed in. It was then as R.G came over he turned his anger on him and quite rightly so. It was an horrific incident and thankfully nobody was seriously hurt.

I dont think the accident was LH's fault, but he hardly put himself in David Purley territory with his casual regard for a fellow competitor, choosing instead to mince off pitward with a random piece of his car. Different in sports like footy where an injury instantly changes the injured party from being an adversary to a fellow competitor, with concern to match.
